Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I'm fairly certain I have an adhesion.
This past October I went to Dr. Anderson in Nashville, TN, because I was having pain like I was having before my surgery even though I was on Zoladex. He said that it sometimes can cause inflammation and that might be what's been causing my pain. So he gave me a muscle relaxant called Soma (isn't that just too funny? I burst out laughing when I heard the name).
It's helped a lot at first- I was in no pain at all for the first two or three days I was on it. But that might have been because I was so loopy that I was bouncing around because it was so much fun for me to move around (haha). I cried I was so happy- I'd forgotten what it was like to not be in pain all the time. But since then it's come back. Only took about a week before the pain was at a 5/10. Now I'm back to floating between 7-9/10 and staying mostly on the nine end of things. I still take the Soma every so often; sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it takes the edge off.
Have any of you found that muscle relaxants have helped with adhesions? I'm trying to figure things out mainly because I'm worried that it's a combination of an adhesion and endo. My first (and most recent) lap was in April and I'm terrified that the endo's back on top of an adhesion.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Also I was diagnosed with Fibro as well...and given muscle relaxers to help me sleep. It helps me sleep and slightly helps during my period for cramps...but for other pain nothing!
Shoot, keep us informed as to what's next for you. {{{Big Hugs}}}
As for muscle relaxers, have you tried Cyclobenzaprine? My mother takes that. Not for endo (though she used to have it. then she had kids and it didn't come back) but for her hands. She's had surgery on both of them and can't move them easily. Cyclobenzaprine helps. I think the brand name is Flexeril. Not sure.
I LOVE YOU DEAR HEATING PAD! :D
