Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

Hello everyone:
I am nearly 27, diagnosed in May 2007 - 3 large solid cysts w/severe inflammation and stage IV endo 95% removed (and left ovary). I had my last luperon shot Oct. 11th - This wk I had my 6 month follow-up appt. w/my Gyno specalist. Back in June he told me that if I didn't get preg w/in 3 yrs I'd be a good candidate for IVF. This wk he said, 2 years OR sooner - depending on the endo. He is optimistic that my symptoms will be under control for awhile but thinks it will eventually come back.
Anyway, he said that if it does come back sooner than he wants me to use Mirena IUD to control the endo. He was very excited to tell me about this b/c he said that not a lot of pple are using this for endo yet, but its having good results so far w/low side effects. What do others think about this as a method to control endo? I should let you know that my ability to take many hormones is limited b/c I have a history of blood clots (leg and lungs).
Currently I'm going to try *herbs / diet and excercise* as I'm so tired of hormones.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
