Hey ladies! After recently being told by my longtime OB/GYN that I needed to have a radical hysterectomy to rid me of my ongoing endo woes...I have begun a new journey to find the "perfect doctor" to help me. Ha! say those of you who know better! No really, I just found this site today and so far am very impressed with the support and information being shared. Being informed is the best weapon in fighting for our health because we know our bodies best. In my search, Dr. Redwine in Oregon keeps coming up. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with his treatment? The doc I most recently saw criticized his surgical technique, but then in the same breath said I should go see what he could do for me (??!). I've successfully been on birth control since having a laparoscopy in 2000, but my body has decided that's not working anymore. The idea of a hysterectomy at 31 makes me sick to my stomach -even though I'm done having children- and am disappointed my GYN would suggest it as my only choice (check out the HERS Foundation site if you haven't already). Hang in there everyone! Humanity knows no wrath like a bunch of hormonal, cranky women! Peace.
