I am 21 years old and a newlywed. I started menstruating when I was 11 and always had long, irregular periods. My periods usually lasted 10-11 days and started at different times each month. When I was 19, I started on birth control and have been experiencing very heavy and very painful periods since. My periods are regular and last 6-7 days, but the cramps can be unbearable. About a year ago, I started experiencing extremely painful sex, so much that it had nearly stopped my husband and I from being intimate. I have sharp abdominal pain, sometimes randomly, sometimes constant for days. My lower back hurts all of the time with sciatic pain radiating down both legs. I am tired all the time. I tell my husband I wish I could sleep all the time and never wake up. I feel the constant need to urinate and have bowel movements. I am depressed and feel so alone most of the time. My mother, aunt, and grandmother all have experienced female problems. My mother had her uterus out at 27, one ovary out at 29, and the other out at 41. Her doctor never diagnosed her with endo, but said she had scar tissue building on her organs and attaching to other organs. I am scared that I have endo. I am seeing a doctor in a week but the symptoms are getting progressively worse by the day. Anyone else experiencing these problems? I want to have children, but my husband and I planned on waiting at least 3 years, maybe as much as 8-9 years... I am worried that if I don't have kids now, I may not be able to later...
