Okay so yesterday I had my last pre-op with my OBGYN-SURGEN...It went pretty well! I guess for the abdominal hysterectomy w/reomval of my ovaries he wants to put in a epidural along with the general anesthesia! He said this should help alot with the post-op pain!!! I am concerned though that it wont take away all of the pain!! I know most after a abdominal hysterectomy have a pain pump to control the pain!! I had one after my emergancy c-section with the birth of my son!! He dident even mention me having one though!! He seems to think I think that the epidural will be enough!! So that really scares me!! I only have 4 days now tell my surgery! I am very anxious to get it over with! But now I am stressin about the pain control afterwards!! I dont even know that much about epidurals.. I only know it is a needle of some kind that is put in your lower back up towards like the side of your spine! It is supposed to numb you from the waist down!! I don't know if it is just a one time thing or if medacin is continued to be pushed through it or what!! If any body knows are has any thoughts of this please let me know what you think!!!
