Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Warmest wishes,
Maggie
I have not started trying to have children yet, but after all of the research and talking with my doc, it's not an impossible venture to have children, esp if you get the endo slowed down before any major scarring issues occur. It may take a little more time and effort, but I wouldn't lose hope.
i too am sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with this.
endo cannot be diagnosed from an ultrasound, although i understand that it can be indicated that you have adenomyosis (endo in the wall of your uterus, which is what docs think i have). the good news is that adenomyosis is not thought to affect fertility, and that while there are lots of very sad stories, lots of women are able to conceive despite endo too.
my best advice is to get as much assistance as you need for peace of mind. then, if pain is not troubling you and you are comfortable that you can try for children, don't get hung up on this.
all the best, and you know where we are!
Get the laproscopy done to know what you are truly up against and then come up with a plan to fight it.
It's funny most docs will deny the disease altogether, not quickly point the finger.
If you do infact have the disease, I would seriously think about trying for children if you know that's what you want in the future. Don't be discouraged though. You are still pretty young and the disease may not be all that advanced. Everyone is different. :)
