Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I was wondering if anyone notices that their endo pain increases when they eat certain foods?
I've noticed that mine increases when I eat meat (except for certain types of fish). The next day, I'm usually in so much pain that I can't move. For instance, I ate chicken nuggets last night (I'm a college student, so the meals aren't always healthy. You grab what you can inhale while researching), and today my right ovary in particular is hurting. The same thing happened when I had a salad with lean steak cuts on it a few nights ago. The next day I actually had to miss class because the pain was so bad.
Red meat is the worst offender, with chicken a close second. Pork doesn't seem to make me hurt as bad, though there is a noticeable increase in pain.
Anyone else have this problem?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

i have recently been put onto a gluten, wheat and dairy free diet to see if that will alleviate my symptoms (no luck so far!) and it's my understanding that red meat in particular, caffeine and sugar also potentially worsen pain
hope you can find a way to avoid your 'triggers' around your study commitments etc - good luck :-)
I can say a good diet will lessen the discomfort. A poor diet will increase your discomfort.
Diet is your choice - eat well and you will improve your overall health.
Some tips are:
Always eat a good diet and drink plenty of water, have fresh fruit and vegetables every day.
Introduce Soya products into your diet, Soya milk fortified with calcium and vitamins on your cereal instead of cows milk, eat Tofu, fresh frozen green soya beans or you can cook the dried beans and freeze them to add to your food every day. You can also buy cooked dried soya bean to eat like peanuts but make sure these are not the salted ones (visit your health food shop)
Stay away from coke and anything with artifical sweetners, reduce your caffeine, alcohol and chocolate intake, consider supplementing your diet with Selenium Ace Food Supplement.
Some people get great benefit from phyto nutrients; there is a food supplement but it is expensive. You can get phyto nutrients from soya, linseed and more.
Consider taking Garlic and ginger in your food daily.
The above are all the things I did to get some relief from endometrios.
I wish you well in finding some relief through self help methods
