My lap. revealed a boggy uterus, which is enlarged and a lot of scar tissue surrounding the uterus. The suspect is adenomyosis and a hysterectomy was recommended. I know adenomyosis cannot be officially confirmed until a hysterectomy is completed, but in the absence of endo., the likely problem is adeno. A boggy uterus that is enlarged is often caused by adeno. Painful heavy periods along with severe lower back pain and leg pain is also typical of adeno. rather than endo. The back pain and leg pain are my signature problems. So, at least an answer to the problem has been determined. I was wondering, how long does the swelling last after a lap.? My tummy was a little enlarged because of my uterus, but now I look really large! I also started my period, even though I never stopped my birth control, which I am on continuously. Life is fun, huh? Take care all and thanks for all of the support.
