Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I do exercise when I'm feeling good (generally during two weeks out of each month), which includes walking and bicycling, and that is to keep my body fit overall. I have other issues going on (buldging disks in my neck), so I can't lift weights like I used to, or do situps and such. The type of exercise I can do is limited.
But exercise to ease the pain during endo flareup? Hell no - I'm bedridden, nothing works except lots of drugs and heating pads and being in bed for me.
It's different for everyone I guess.
I really like Emm13's water walking idea!
Thanks for all of your posts! I feel so much better knowing I am not the only one being told that and struggling with doing it.
1 i felt that walking helps the blood cloth to come out and when it comes out it eases the pain
2 i'm not alone at home thinking about my pain,i noticed that the more i think about this sickness the worst i feel.
So that's my story hope this helps.
I'm so sick & tired of people saying to exercise and everything will be fine.
Realistically I would love to be physically active most days, I have my fingers crossed for all of us! x
