Eczema Support Group
Eczema is a form of inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. The main symptoms are skin rashes characterized by redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing or bleeding. Eczema can be extremely physically and socially uncomfortable. If you're an eczema sufferer, join the group and get support.
1) infection gets going
2) body fights infection
3) body heals the damage (drying)
4) healed, damaged layers fall off
5) immune system returns to normal state (lower activity, non-inflammed)
6) new skin layers become infected again
My cycle is a week long too, with the weekend being the most likely time for a flare-up and Thursday being the day of best skin. I don't understand it because I have an unwavering daily routine of washing and moisterizing which I do not change during the week.
