I have had eczema all of my life( i am 18). I was born with hypogammaglobulinemia an immune deficiency, and i have severe eczema because of it. I am able to hide it very well because of where it is.( my lower genitals) It's really embarrassing to talk about because of where it is. It is constantly itching and burning, and i can't go to the bathroom without being in severe pain. I have tried all the creams out there and they either burn to the point i can't use them, or they don't work. Does anyone know of any other treatments i can try that won't burn? This is causing me not to sleep at all, I haven't slept well in about a week. All suggestions are appreciated.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
For me, especially down there, my biggest problem was that I needed to cool the irritation, and here's the kicker- ESPECIALLY on sensitive skin, it's really important, I've found, to not use any creams or lotions that are- well- I can't think of the word.. Basically, though, I CAN say- you know how all those creams at pharmacies are white? Well, that's because they're colored (according to my derm- not all of them, but a lot of them). Also, some lotions and creams have really harsh chemicals- I'd delve into that research, because there are a few key ingredients that you should remember the names of, and, if the creams have those listed (especially at the top of the list), then don't bother with them.
Honestly, I really think that what ended up helping me the most was just- first, I treated the symptoms (inflammation and dryness, and the heated irritation) with neosporin + pain relief after cleansing.. then I used a cream from Gold bond.. It says it's water resistant. Those two things formed a sort of seal.. I was able to go to the bathroom, for the first time in awhile, without horrid pain.
I really hope this helps you, and I'm really sorry that it's so garbled..(I'm at work!)
Take care, and hopefully you find something on here that helps- even if my suggestions don't get you anywhere..
OH! I FORGOT! Natural Aloe vera gel is a godsend if you still feel heated irritation after putting on neosporin + cream..
Good luck!
