Hi..I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Zyprexa? I have been taking it for a while but since I lost my job I can't afford to refill it. I have been slowly trying to take myself off of it but am so scared that I'll go through some sort of withdrawals like I did when I went off of Effexor, it was HORRIBLE, I thought I was losing my mind. If anyone can help that would be great. So far I haven't noticed any symptoms or whatever but today I kind of feel like I am seeing things out of my peripheral vision (I'm not crazy..really..lol)..I am very tired and ache all over my body, not sure it it's at all related. I just can't go coo coo like I did with the effexor, it was the scariest thing, what a powerful drug! So if anyone has some info that may help I would so appreciate it. I just wish I could refill it but since it's a newer drug it's crazy expensive..oh well. I guess I need to try to find a drug that's been around a while (generic) that can treat bipolar, anxiety, depression, etc..if you know of one let me know. again, thanks.

I was prescribed Zyprexa in treatment. It was for the anxiety caused by the weight gain. I took it for about a month after I came home, and I told my doctor that I wasn't anxious about the weight anymore so he took me off of it. The only symptom I had after going off of it was that I walked in my sleep and peed on the floor. After that experience I was fine.

I went off it cold turkey and had no side effects. Everyone is different though.

I think you should slowly take yourself off it! I took it for less than a week, it made me extremely hungrey and I was starting to gain weight! That is a side effect of these types of meds antipychotics! I would also talk to your doc! I will never take an antipcyhotic again, I dont think they are for ed patients, but some people do

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
