No, it's not!! I know it feels like it, but you'll get through this. You've been doing well, and no one can force you to eat.Whether it's that you don't want people to know or you just can't face eating, it's up to you how much you eat. I know it can be scary having that control taken away. Try some relaxation before you go to meals, do some on the spot deep breathing (in through your mouth then slowly out your nose)while you're there, and remember it's not Thanksgiving forever...

I don't know what ED you are suffering from but you should eat something every day. So don't treat today different. Eat what you feel comfy with and when everybody tells you to eat more and start to freak you out, ask them if they could please stop it or leave. You shouldn't have to suffer because of other's ignorance.

I'm Scottish so we don't have Thanksgiving but Christmas has always been a problem for me in the past. Try to remember that it is only one day and cannot possibly turn you 'fat' over night. Don't eat lots just to please other peolpe but do eat something. Work out what foods you are most comfortable with - lean turkey, veg or whatever, and don't feel pressured into eating sweets and cake if you can't cope with it. You are not saying you will never eat normally again, you are simply saying that this is not the right time for you to be taking that step. is there someone who is going to be at the meal who you can speak to and get on side? Also can you bring things? You could make a big fresh fruit salad or something you feel comfortable eating and have others enjoy it too.

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
