OK IV HAD ABOUT 8 SESSIONS NOW AND ALL THEY SEEM TO FOCUS ON IS GETTING ME TO EAT REGUALAR MEALS ETC,WHICH IS FAIR ENOUGH CAUSE THATS PARTLY THE WHOLE POINT OF RECOVERING FROM AN ED
HOWEVER AT THE SAME TIME I KNOW ID EITHER BINGE/VOMIT OR NOT EAT ALL ALL IF IM STRESSED AND ONLY RECENTLY HAVE THEY THOUGHT TO GO ON TO THIS TOPIC OF STRESS AND HOW I CAN DEAL WITH IT WITHOUT USING FOOD AS A WEAPON.
THIS IS A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO WHAT I EXPECTED..I THOUGHT THAT THEYD APPROACH BOTH REGUALAR MEALS AND STRESS AT THE SAME TIME
I WAS WONDERING WHAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED IN TERMS OF YOUR THERAPY,THE APPROACH AND WEATHER IT WORKED FOR YOU??

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Bottom line is, if you are not comfortable with your treatment plan, go elsewhere.
By the way, I think this approach is cognitive-behaviour therapy where they just focus on treating the symptoms and present day behaviours, without delving into the "whys" behind it. Common, but I'm not sure how successful.
