Two: Take it slow. So a piece of bread is too much right now? Take it slow and have HALF a piece, then quickly busy yourself with something positive like reading, knitting, watching the telly (stay off the Food Network!), talking to a positive friend on the phone, etc. Even talking to us here at DS!
When you eat that half of a slice, and see that, poof!, you aren't fat, it may give you the courage to take a baby step forward (mind you, this might be days or weeks before you can do this): have the whole slice. And sit with it, doing positive activities to retrain your brain into a good stream of consciousness.
