I am so diturbed, and I do not even know if it is ok to come here & discuss this, but I will see?
I have lived on 500-800 calories a day for almost 9 months. I have not eaten over 900 calories not 1 day since last July, 2007.
I have still only lost 40 pounds???
I have to weigh in at my doctor every month & I seem to only lose 2-4 pounds a month?
I mean, what do I have to do? I am already starving.
Could it be that I am now middle age?
I have always lost about 30 pounds monthly in the past when I was relapsing back into anorexia.
Has anyone else had this problem?
If I was actually eating a lot more, I would understand. But, I am not cheating.
I worry about my health & all of my medical problems. But, if I could ever lose 20 more pounds, maybe I would stop this mess!
If it is not a good idea to have this subject open to the public, I understand. Please accept my apology if this is off limits.
But, I am so disheartened.
I do recall back on 2001 when I was being treated for anorexia, my doctor explaining that as we age - the more we starve ourselves, the harder it is to lose any weight because our body is always living guarded for the next long period of time that we will be stranded out in the desert with nothing to eat.
But, that does not completely seem clear to me?
Geez, I recall when I used to go from a size 16 to a size 0 in a few months without any problem!
And, if you watch these shows like Celebrity Fit Club, they lose 8 pounds a week! uggg!

your metabolism has slowed down, a lot. you need to eat more to get it started again. you only will lose so much weight by starving yourself before you start to feed on your muscle and store body fat to keep you alive.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
