I hate that people dont understand this problem :( Today at school in lesson we were talking about enimia. One of my best friends, shes dippy but lovly!, said 'i always get confused with enimic and bulimic' another of my friends told her the definitions of each one, enimia being somthing you cant help havinng and apparently bulimia being somthing you can help and avoid having, people volentarity choosing to have bulimia. Its really quiet upsetting to think that i do this to myself, are they right? Do i choose to feel this way?

No, it's an illness, but with all mental illness, people have trouble understanding it if they haven't experienced it. You don't choose to feel like you do. Your friend is completely wrong in her definition of bulimia, and shows she has no idea about what it actually means.Don't be hard on yourself. If you had a broken leg your fiend wouldn't say you chose to break it, would she?!

Freudian slip!!! Friend, not fiend!!

I guess not, allthough right now a broken leg sounds mcuh more appealing than having to live with this horrible feeling, thank you for your post juice x

No, you didn't choose to be bulimic. It's a mental illness. The only thing you can choose is wether or not to get help. Explain that to your friends.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
