For anyone who sees a therapist and pays for it through health insurance, this is very important information. I have experienced discrimination for the past three years because ny insurance company will pay ALL my doctors and nutritionist appts, yet they restrict my access to my psychologist. They limit the number of times I can see her each year, and the limit they set is way too low to deal with ED. My husband and I are fighting this on a personal level and on a more public level. We are contacting legislators to pass the mental health parity bills which would require insurance companys to give equal access to ALL doctors. Please, for everyone even remotely connected to the ED issue, help us in this fight. The website with more info is eatingdisorderscoalition.com. Contact your senators and congresspersons to pass this legislation. Many lives depend on it.
