I am new to this group and sought it out to speak with those who truly understand my thoughts/feelings.
I have been on Prozac to treat my bulimia for almost 6 months. Although my binging & purging happen less frequently, and I am glad for that, I've begun putting on weight. Gaining weight is my biggest fear. suddenly, I don't seem to fit into my clothes. Has anyone else gained weight from being on Prozac. I still eat fairly restrictively, so I shouldn't think that I would be gaining too much wieght, but I am.
I've also dealt with exercise complusion in the past, and am down becuase I am having a hard time going to the gym like I use to (2hours/day, 6 days a week). This is causing extreme guilt.
Has anyone experience anything like this?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Prozac will help depression and compulsive thoughts, but may adjust your hormones and regular appetite and slow down your normal resting metabolism.
Before you stop taking them here is what you have to keep in mind...
Prozac is a temporary fix. It allows you to ease off the b/p while allowing you to deal with the causes in regular therapy. Which means in the long-term, you're going to be happier and healthier.
