Last year our nursing class watched a video on the complications morbid obesity. The video also had a section on post-op complications of gastric stapling & gastric bypass surgery. As you can imagine some very overweight people were featured in the video (some of which were nude). One fairly thin person made the comment to the class "if, I was that fat I would kill myself" I was really offended not just because I'm overweight but because she implied that fat people didn't have a right to live. I was speechless...Does anyone have any comments or suggestions on how I could have responded to that?

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
