Want to add my 2 cents about the whole inpatient discussion that started in the A & E Intervention thread, but getting a bit off topic so I thought I'd start my own... I went in 3 times for inpatient and all times I did lose weight. That's not the case for everyone that goes in obviously. In my experience, the pressure and "hidden" competition that occurs natually when you get a room full of anorexics together got to me. Who can slip through without getting caught, etc... Not a good thing, and again not everyone experiences that. For me, one on one therapy only helped me because everything about the hospital was a trigger for me, including my own roommate. anyone have the same experience?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Like Karrin, I left when I saw new younger patients come in who were severely underweight, and here I was 2 months in, and back to a slim but healthy weight. I ended up leaving AMA after they tried to yank my discharge date away from me. I was tired of being jerked around, and I just wasn't ready to recover.
