Hello. I have been struggling with compulsive binge eating since I was 8 years old. By the time I was 10, I weighed 100 lbs. Two years later, I was up to 150. Tired of the names in junior high, I started on a diet of 1200 or less calories a day and 2+ hours per day of exercise. I lost 35 lbs. I felt better, but I was malnourished and very unhealthy. I did not care about these things, I just wanted to be skinny. The compulsive eating kicked up again, however, and I have been struggling with my weight since then. I am now fluctuating between 165-175 lbs. I would be at my target weight of 150 lbs. if I did not binge eat. I want to do everything right this time. I have struggled with binge eating long enough, and I know that it is very dificult to deal with by myself. I joined this forum for encouragement from others who know what I am going through, and to give advice and support when I can.
