How do you know if you are malnutritioned? I heard that if you can see all of your veins like in your hands, then you could be malnutritioned. Im not sure. So I was just wondering if you could tell me some other signs? Is bruising a sign of malnutrition?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Veins often pop out when you've lost too much subcutaneous fat, but being dehydrated can have the same effect.
Are your hair & nails kind of dry & flaky, or are you finding clumps of your hair all over the place? Bruising easily? Yes. Are you exhausted and irritable alot of the time and having troubles thinking clearly? How 'bout the regularity of your monthy cycle?
Blood tests and urinalysis can show alot too. "Google" would probably be a good place to check if you don't want to go to the doctor at this time. Hope this helps!
I'm prepared to admit I was probably malnourished at one point. The signs for me were unrelenting fatigue, being frighteningly pale, low blood pressure, thinning hair and dry skin (I normally have normal to oily skin, so this was strange for me). i was moody and depressed all the time, got ill every few weeks and even the slightest infection sent me straight to bed, my blood tests were all over the place and I blacked out more times than I've had hot dinners (I'm 20 and my mother insisted I have at least one hot meal a day, do the maths).
You might not want to be surprised by the results, but sometimes a short sharp shock does the trick...
All the best.
