My daughter hasn't eaten properly for about 5 months now. She enjoys sports and plays for different teams though out the week, unfortunately because she hasn't eaten enough I'm called by the school because she is too weak to play / walk home from school.
I am trying to understand. I prepare small meals for her, give her dried fruit / nuts, salads for lunch, but she not even eating that now. She tells me she wants to eat healthy, no e numbers etc in her food, become veggie. She has lost about 14lbs may be more and she wasn't even overweight in the first place!!
What do I do? She has been referred by her doctor, but there is a waiting list for a psychologist and I fear she is getting worse.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...

i am fairly new to this problem to with my daughter although her's started differently it is all the same in the end. (she started as a vegetarian then to being a vegan) i should have seen the signs but i didn't she wore baggie clothes big sweatshirts and when you live with someone day after day i really didn't notice until the school nurse called and told me she had lost over 30 pounds in a few months. so i took her to my family dr. and thank God he refered us to a specialist we got in right away the day we went we talked to 3 drs. for over 3 hours right then and there she was diognosed with anorxia. we go to a specialist in eating disorders in our area once a week. i hate to say it she is still losing weight. i would like to say in my opinion the sooner you get help the better. good luck and God bless
