I have always had mild chest pains on the left side of my chest. They felt like they were right in my heart. I was once told by a doctor that it is pains in the right side of the chest that you should be worried about. Last night I was having pains through my right side kindof leading to my back. Has enyone else been through this, or know why the doctors would worry more about the right side. I'm worried....although I'm not having the pains now.

I am not sure about the right /left side thing but I know that the doctors monitor my heart closely due to the anorexia and purging. I have been told that cardiac arrest is the number one way anorexic/purgers die. It is way too much stress on the heart. Please consult the doctors about this right away. I t could be nothing but a simple ekg will tell them.

I was told the same thing that pain in the right side is what worries them. Plus having pain in your back and arm. So you really need to see a doctor. I think pretty much any ED sufferer has heart problems. Don't waste any time.

i would get it checked out. your electrolytes can be out of whack from an ed, and affect the way your heart functions. definately go to the doc.. they can draw some bloodwork/ekg and get a better idea of what is going on. let us know how you're doing.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
