Those of you who are bulimic or compulsively overeat, do you find that your eating has become a habit? Today I stopped for binge/purge food on the way home, and opened a bag of jelly beans in the car. I'd grab a handful, get rid of the red ones, and eat the rest. After a few blocks I decided my attention was better on the road than on sorting jelly beans. I put the bag of jelly beans on the seat beside me, intending to not eat any more until I was home. But I found myself reaching for the jelly beans anyway, kind of automatically because it was there. Now I'm wondering how much of my binging is habit. Has anyone else had anything similar happen? Thanks.
