I have cervical dystonia, tardive dyskinesia, & generalized dystonia, all apparently as a result of being on too high a dose of a particular anti-psychotic, for too long. (BTW, I am also diagnosed as bipolar, and have had "psychotic" features). My psychiatrist currently has me taking 2mg of Clonazepam at bedtime, and this, along w/other medications, is the only thing that stops my whole body from moving, so that I can get to sleep. The only time I am free of movements is when I am asleep. I was wondering how much Clonazepam (Klonopin) other people here with my symptoms take, in order to still their movements? And does anyone take it in the AM, as well as the PM, so as not to suffer from the movements all day long? If so, how much (in mg)? I know we are each greatly individualized, but I'd just like to get an idea of how much of this medication others take, so perhaps I can tell my neurologist &/or my psychiatrist. Also, Botox is no longer working for me...Thank you, if you would reply to this.
