Having being diagnosed with dyspraxia five years ago, I am now wondering if I am also on the Autistic Spectrum. I do have difficulties with relationships/friendships and often say and do what others seem to deem inappropriate things. I work with a university undergraduate who has both dyspraxia and Asperger's Syndrome and we seem to have so many similarities. I recognise the dangers of self diagnosis but I do know that it is not uncommon for people to have both conditions. I live in the UK where it is difficult to get a diagnosis under the NHS. I can't afford to pay privately. Does anyone have any advice or an opinion, or know of any adults who have asked for referral to find out if they have AS? I would be grateful to hear from anyone as I am seriously thinking of contacting my GP.
