I am the mom of a five year old son with Down Syndrome. Was hoping someone had some ideas for me. He has the tendency to swipe things off of desks (the teachers), end tables, counters, you name it. Also will tip over end tables, coffee tables, chairs etc. His teachers and I are trying to figure out what triggers this. We have noticed it will sometimes occur if it's too chaotic or loud, someone laughs but he thinks they are angry or yelling. He also tends to do it when any attention isn't all his, like when I'm helping his older brother with homework. We're looking for a way to prevent it,lessen it, words or pictures to use, etc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
