I just wanted to share my remarkable cat story!! I look after my mother in our home. She has Alzheimer's. She also lives in her in-law suite in our home. Not too close to our room. I have a baby monitor in the room next to us so I can hear mom if she calls me. Well 2 days ago at 3am in the morning, Mom fell out of bed. Since she is so weak she can not get up on her own if she falls. She was calling for help and I was so sound asleep that I did not hear her calls. Well...My cat Miss Mittens started meowing and running up and down the hall way, and in and out of our room. In doing so she woke me up and then I could hear mom crying for me. I managed to get to her and help her back to bed. She was ok and did not hurt herself. Thanks to my cat, I helped my mom. After I got back to bed, I called Mitty and she came running. I pet her and she seem so happy that she helped. She settled at the foot of the bed for the rest of the night. I could not believe what she did. We love her dearly!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
