I have a 6 y/o Beagle. About 2 yrs ago, she became very sick - hair falling out, scabby spots all over and redness. I took her to my local vet several times with several medications tried, but to no avail. She was then referred to ISU Animal Hospital where they diagnosed her with food allergies. Anyway, it has been a long road, but she overcame that and has been pretty good for the past year. I feed her Science Diet I/D dry dog food only. Now just a few months ago I took her into the vet and told them her she had no energy at all....I could barely get her to go on walks anymore and had to almost drag her along to go...plus she was gaining weight. They checked her thyroid levels and found them low, so she has been on medication for a little over a month now. Her energy has increased and she has lost 2 lbs in the last month. I was just wondering if there are any other Beagle owners out there that have gone thru food allergy or hypothyroidism issues with their dog and what they found out has worked for them and their story.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
