I have suffered with vertigo off and on for about 12 years. My last episode which was very severe was in February 2007. I am trying to minimize my sodium intake. (Hard to do, as so much already has sodium in it) I take a diuretic (water pill) to help get rid of extra water that my body stores before my menstrual cycle. (to clarify: I do not take this pill all the time, only a few days before menstrual cycle.) I also use Flonase nasal spray for allergies. I keep a phenergan suppository in the fridge in case I have a severe episode, as it causes me to vomit. I have not had a physician give me a diagnosis, but what is funny... I went to the ob/gyn and a med student went through my history and informed me that I had meniere's disease. Well, I just wanted to share what seems to be working for me at the moment. I will pray for you my fellow vertigo sufferers.
