Dizziness & Vertigo Support Group
Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. If you are a frequent sufferer of dizziness or vertigo, join the group and find support.

I'm new here. I've had this problem for 10 years. Thankfully, the last time I was in the hospital was December of '03 so I feel very lucky. I do not have Menieres, I do occasionally get Positional Vertigo which is totally different and does not caust the vomiting, etc. that comes with the other vertigo. I have been tested by the best, Hopkins, neuro, ent - etc. I have finally become stable and am able to do some things. I have had to stop working in the middle of '05. I ended up getting some 'bonus' illnesses on top of this (Graves Disease, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Diabeties II). Prior to all this I was very healthy. Well, bronchitis once a year. Does anyone else have vertigo that is 'central' in nature? if so, I would like to hear your story.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The two types - I've had all the testing and I can test positive and negative - I have been documented as 'a complicated case'.
I continue to do my exercises to keep my balance up to par.
