I'm new to your support group. My mom suffered from diverticulitis and had serious complications. Her first surgery resulted in an ostomy. A couple weeks after that complications caused a second emergency surgery. The ostomy was removed. Unfortunately she became septic. The sepsis caused ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome). She was induced to a coma and kept on life support for a week. Thankfully she has recovered. However, the problem now is she is completely unable to eat. It has been about a month and a half since the ordeal began and she can't even force herself to eat at all. She lives solely on Ensure. I'm very worried about her. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
