If you currently have an infection, that could be the problem. Look for foam or mucous in the stool. If that is the case, antibiotics are recommended and antibiotics are notorious for causing diarrhea. If this is the situation, just drink water and low acidic juices to give the colon a rest for a few days. For nutrician, Slim Fast is great. I don't know about weight loss because I've never had that problem but comparing the list of nutrients with other products like Ensure and Instant Breakfast, Slim Fast beats them hands down. I've also experienced a slight binding effect with Slim Fast so that might help as well. I'm not sure if it's the Slim Fast or the milk I mix it with or the combination of the two, but it has slowed colon activity in my experience.
