I am a newbie I just joined a few minutes ago. I am fairly newly diagnosed with diverticular disease. As I mentioned in my story I had part of my colon removed last year. It has taken months to recover. I had alot of illnesses right after surgery due to a compromised immune system. I find this has been life changing for me. I didn't have a chance to even adjust to the idea that I had this disease because within a couple days of diagnosis I needed surgery. I was pretty healthy up until that point. I am still struggling with my diet. I am not a huge fibre fan, which may have gotten me into trouble in the first place! I hope to make some friends and learn some stuff and help other people. Thanks for listening!
