This is the first time I've had diverticulitis. I'm on antibiotics now for the third day. The pain in my lower left abdomen is kind of nagging, and sometimes, like after a shower, it feels like it's not there. In fact, there are times when I barely feel it, and then times when it will not let me forget about it. What gives? Can anyone tell me why I can eat certain things, like chicken, but not salad or spaghetti(goes straight thru). I feel as though I'm in the dark on this, as I go to a local clinic for treatment and there is little help available there.
