I have had persistent diarrhea since January . Three times it stopped periodically while I was on antibiotics. I know my next step is probably to have a colonoscopy. I went to a gastro yesterday but I think I am going to try a different one. Something didn't "feel" right. I had a colonoscopy about 12 yrs ago but it was somewhat of a bad experience. I have alot of health problems and regular take something to help me sleep. At that time I think all they gave me was demerol and I remember alot of pain. Can you be put to sleep during the procedure? This doctor I went to does it in his office. Is this the norm these days? I just really wish I could be completely knocked out. I appreciate ya'll listening to me. I am pretty frantic here. I just need some support. My daughter is getting married in 3 weeks and that stupid doctor yesterday wouldn't even give me antibiotics in case it comes back before then. But I do have a local doctor that I think will. Thanks for listening and for any advice. Toni

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
