I love coming to this community more than my other communities..As you can tell if you look at some of my other communities, I have some issues and they are some pretty negative issues. But this is why I love coming to this community, its real positive and everyone has real great advice and suggestions. I digress..I don't know what it was that finally clicked in my head to just do it! I needed to get healthy. I wanted to get healthy. So I'm doing it. And there are days when I slip-up and feel lazy, but I allow myself those days and I just get right back on it again. I'm a chef. Food is my life. I've tried many different diets and pills and whatever and they all failed. There is no "easy" way. There are no short-cuts. It's just proper diet and exercise that works. I thought this was an impossibility considering my profession. But I was wrong, I'm doing it, like I said and I'm doing a good job too. And if I can do it being surrounded by rich and decadent food all day, we all can! You will hear no more excuses from me anymore. I knew what to do but I just didn't want to work for it. I HATE exercising!! But I LOVE the results. I can't wait to wake up in the morning now and work-out. And there are days when I'm half-assing my work-outs and that's when I yell at myself "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" "WHAT ARE YOU WORKING FOR?" "DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! OTHER PEOPLE DID IT! YOU CAN TOO!!" haha! I know that sounds silly but it helps. I work out whenever I have the time. Morning, night, it doesn't matter when, just as long as I do is the important thing. Then I come here and get great advice and MORE motivation. Food will always be an issue with me but I make better choices now in smaller portions and I can live with that!
