I have been working on this for a year now and have finally lost 40 pounds. Although I am still considered overweight I am happy with where I am at. My skin feels a little baggy and I have plenty of stretch marks but boy do I feel better all around. I started walking 7000 steps a day and in two weeks bumped it up to 10,000 steps and then started hiking. I started drinking more water and taking out partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup and of course cutting back on all whites (sugar, bread, etc.) I have kept it off! and am so amazed I hope it stays for good!

Congratulations! That is amazing! Even if you are over weight still, you successfully made yourself ahealthier person. You're a role model now, and that's a great thing to be!

OMG 40 pounds! Great on your part. That must had been a difficult journey. I am going to attempt 22 pounds. Saying 22 pounds is an eye opener, but you have inspired me, and I am sure many people.

CONGRATULATIONS !!! i want and need to lose 30 lbs, i have a bad habit of too much sweets. afew months ago, i lost 7 lbs, some of that came back. i made a goal starting thursday nov 1, i'm going to keep a food journal and count calories. give yourself lots of credit, you deserve it, i could use encouragement. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
