Weight loss challenge- 15 lbs by Christmas?

i want too! i dont want the chrismas season to come in the way off my weight loss this year, the only day that i am gonna eat what i want is at chrismas dinner, which we germans celebrate on the night of the 24th. till then, i want to try to keep between 800-1200 calories per day. i dont work out at the gym, but i work long hours at a horse stable, which is hard physical work. so far i have lost 10 pounds. i wish everybody good luck!

Alot of people do believe if u eat less calories you will lose weight but thats not true. If your working out your body requires more calories, I learned that eating 1600 calories a day and exercising at least 5 times per week, for 45 minutes works best. If you dont eat enough your body will think your starving yourself and therefore hang on to the fat..One great thing to do is to drink lots of water, it really does work. Also cut out dairy and juice, I drank nothing but water , tea, or crystal light. Lots of chicken salads and chicken breast. Also cut back on bread and pasta unless its 100% whole wheat.. Well good luck and do what works best for you.

I'll join. I don't know if 15 lbs is doable though, that's a lot in one month. I'm thinking more like 10. That we can lose and keep off, not starve off and have to fight off to keep from regaining it. And mariness, I think that maybe 800 cals a day is not enough, you might find your body going into starvation mode. I would stick to between 12-1400. Good luck to all!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
