Is it just me or does not eating give everyone the grumps, I just get sooooo stressed and snappy its like I am having withdrawals. Does anyone know any good ways to curb this my family is really suffereing :-(

Why are you not eating? When you are trying to lose weight if you go without eating all you are doing is slowing down your metabolism. I would suggest to eat several small meals a day. Then you wont get to that sugar low that causes you to get grouchy. Maybe you are grouchy because you are treating yourself like you are being punished and you are resentful to see your family eating.

you have to eat!! if not your body will grab up all the fat it can because it thinks you are starving.

When I cut calories....or even just watch my sugar for the first few days I can be a real evil woman!!! It is like withdrawls....but I do notice a change when I am able to have a sweet snack or something.

I am eating and thats the problem I cant stop. I know that I should not be hungry I have a well balanced diet written for me which includes snacks and treats. I am an emotional eater and have been so for so long that I am used to eating mammoth amounts and my body is screaming for it. It is drivivng me crazy. It is worse during what i call arsenic hour, being when the kids come home from school and they are at each others throats. Thanks for all your replies.

i know how you feel. i do eat, but when times arise that i'm hungry but not in a situation where eating is possible or i dont have food with me i get very cranky. my old roommate used to call me out on it but i couldnt help it. if i dont eat i get tired too. the only way i know of to curb this is to not let yourself get too hungry before you eat again.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
