How have people learned to fend off the sweet tooth? I eat anything and everything that's sweet, candy from the front desk at work, cookies, coffee with 1/4 of the cup full of sugar and then cream as well... I know that these are comfort foods and useless calories and I can't quite seem to shake it.
Any suggestions for substitutions or ways to get around the sweet tooth?

I'M ALSO BAD WHEN IT COMES TO SWEETS. I JUST HAVE TO STAY AWAY - CHEW GUM, ADD FLAVORED PACKETS TO MY WATER. IT'S TOUGH BUT BRING FOODS THAT ARE HEALTHY AND STICK WITH THOSE INSTEAD OF SNACKS. AT WORK THEY ALWAYS HAVE TREATS AND I JUST HAVE TO KEEP MYSELF FROM GOING INTO THE KITCHEN. LIMIT YOURSELF TO A FEW LIGHTER PIECES AND THEN SAY THAT'S IT AND MOVE ON. GOOD LUCK AND HOPE MORE ADD TO HELP YOUR CRAVINGS.... KATHY

I too, have an awful sweet tooth, I read some where, get a bag of the herseys minitures, put them in the freezer, and when you are having an attack take just one and eat it very slowly, freezing it makes them last longer, so I was told

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
