Just wondering if anyone here had done any research on aritifical sweetners. I have heard so many things and I don't know what is fact or just myth. Do they cause cancer in lab rats? I really hope not. I have also heard that they cause insulin production because your liver can't distinguish between them and real sugar. Is that true? If so...does that mean if you use sweetner instead of sugar you won't loose weight? I am kind of a sweetner junkie (at least in my coffee) and never thought it was too bad because they are zero calories. If anyone has any good information they would like to share...I'd really appreciate it. Maybe I'll have to switch to tea!

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
