Very frustrating. I have lost consistently 1/2 of a pound per day since Jan. 14th when I started my program. My beginning weight was 447lbs. I currently weigh 399lbs. To maintain my current weight I have to eat Approx. 4000 calories per day. I have tried to eat about 2200 calorie per day. However, for the last month the weight loss has almost stopped. It is been difficult for me to understand. The theory behind Plateaus is that you are eating either too little or too much. That has not been the case for me. I have watched my calories everyday. I also have days that I eat a little more than average. This is supposed to give metabolism a boost. I also started walking regularly last week. It has been 3-4 weeks since I stalled. The only thing I can think of is the setpoint theory and that my body has lowered my metabolism WAY down to compensate. On the same hand I figured that walking over a mile a day....approx. 30 minutes of walking would also compensate. Not yet, unfortuneatly. I know that I am probably builing muscle in my legs from the walking which weighs more, but just don't know. Frustrated this evening and just thought I would post.
