You may not have a target number for your weight and that is a good thing.
Your taget should be to become healthier and you will automatically lose the excess weight.
For exercise, try to find what you enjoy because you need to continue with exercise all through your life.
You need cardio to get rid of the fat, but you also need some weight training to keep your bones and muscles in good shape.
Forget about dieting; if anyone says diets are good, they are not telling you the truth.
For permanent loss of weight, you need to be eating clean and healthy.
Cut out the bad fats, all trans fats, sugars, and the white stuff like white flour, and white breads and such. Eat whole wheat. Start adding more veggies and fruits into your eating.
The mention of 6 meals a day has great value. You should be eating something every 3 hours to avoid sugar spikes and cravings. You don't eat 6 big meals a day, rather 3 regular meals and 3 small snacks between those meals. Start drinking tons of water because water helps the body rid itself of fat.
Whatever you do with your eating habits and exercising, make sure it's things that you can do permanently.
Temporary changes result in only temporary results.
Diet and exercise can get the weight off, but if you go back to the old bad habits after the weight loss, you know what will happen.
Yup, the weight will come back and you will also likely gain back more than you lost.
I just found it today nad its really great!! I'm trying to lose weight as well. What you have to do is eat healthy (fruits, veggies, lean meats--if you are a meat eater, whole grains, low fat milk, limit sugar and salt intake) and exercise and be active as much and often as possible!! Good luck and feel free to message me if you need any help or support or anything. Good luck!!
and if you want to lose the weight for good, you can not lose it fast. one pound a week is what the doctors say.
plus, don't eat three big meals a day. have five smaller ones.
stay positive and i know you can do it
As you don't know what you problem is, you can't know what would be safe for you to do in the way of exercise.
Ask your dr.
