Hi all,
Im a 19 year old female living in Australia.
I currently weigh 83 kilos. When i met my boyfriend 4 years ago i wore a size 10, im now verging a size 18.
He loves me, but i fear that soon he will find me unattractive and i will lose him.
I dont want to lose the weight for him, whilst it would be nice to feel sexy. I also want to lose it for me, to look and feel good and to be healthy. But here is where the problem comes in...
Ive tried EVERYTHING.
I have been to the gym, counted calories, tried eating healthy. I walk at least an hour everyday at a resonable pace and still i cannot lose my weight. Im not sure what i can do.
Someone told me, well recommended the Tony Ferguson diet, but somehow i cant see myself loving soups and milkshakes enough to get any results, not only that but when i come off the diet what happens? Normal food comes back and so does the weight. Then i was told, and heard about the Sandra Cabot's meal replacement diet, where two of your main meals are swapped to shakes, and snacks should be fruits and or vegies. I thought that this sounded good as it is still encouraging healthy eating, i walk everyday and the replacement shakes are filling and have the recommended daily dosage of every vitamin your body needs.
I just wanted to get an opinion on this diet if anybody has heard of it, tried it or know of someone who has. Any help would be appreciated.
Also what is the best aid to deep red scar tissue caused by stretch marks? I was told Bio-oil is good but so many people believe different things work better. If anyone could help with my questions i would greatly appreciate it.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Permanent changes to your lifestyle and eating habits do.
For your diet, I would suggest that you keep a diary of EVERY SINGLE ITEM YOU EAT OR DRINK. I guarantee it will be an eye opener.
You could take that diary to a dietitian to get a recommendation how to proceed, but I suspect that just seeing the diary will tell you where you need to make changes.
You should be eating every 2.5 or 3 hours. What you are doing is always keeping a little something in you, and eliminating any spikes as happens with sugars. When you eat 3 healthy meals, you have dips in your sugars and and as mentioned, in your metabolism.
Increase your water intake, Believe it or not, drinking more water as water helps with weight loss.
You must do resistance training; work in some weights because you want to drop the fat and gain the muscle.
Why? Because muscle uses more calories than fat.
You said that you had tried the gym and you have tried EVERYTHING, but I suspect that the gym will work for you if you get some directions.
At the gym, try some spinning classes. I guarantee that you will sweat buckets and it will be a major contribution to your cardio.
Sign up for one session, an accessment, with a trainer. Find out where you are weak and strong, and get some direction in what exercises are best for you to reach your goals.
There are NO quick fixes that are healthy. You may do this diet or that and seem to lose weight, but at what cost? What you may have lost is just water and muscle mass, and when you lose the muscle, you cripple your ability to lose weight or even maintain your current weight.
So pick up those dumb bells and start jogging.
And eat your veggies.
I acknowledge what you are all saying. I am slowly changing my lifestyle habits. Buying filling chicken and salad sandwiches for lunch rather than kebabs. Replacing water with soft drink.
Im doing all of that as well. What i want though, is to do some sort of meal replacement diet just to reach my goal weight whilst incoporating healthy eating snack and meal wise. 2 of my main meals are to be replace by shakes whilst the rest of the day needs to be fruits and vegies. That way when i come off the "diet" i can carefully slip fruits and vegies in as snacks rather than the shakes. Do you think this will work. I just really want to get to my ideal size and then continue to live and eat healthily. Has this worked before?
Also still looking for answers from those of you who may have tried sandra cabots meal replacement diet, just want some ideas on how it works also still looking for stretch mark relief?
Anyone?
