There was a thread like this over the summer but it seems to have died out..It helped me get on track though..so I'm going to re-start it and see if anyone wants to join in :)
I've lost about 20 lbs since June and I'm looking to take off another 20 before I'm really happy, but I've hit a plateau lately and I need motivation to step up my workout and be more careful about my diet if I want these pounds to come off. I weigh myself just about every day just because it's part of my routine, but for motivation I'm going to start also measuring myself on Thursdays.

has a body fat calculator that asks for your hips, waist, neck, and height measurements
Today I'm
Hips: 41.25, Waist: 31.25, Neck: 13.5, height 68 inches, Weight: 154lbs
The calculator puts me at 31% body fat, recommends that I try to get down to 22%. I'm certainly going to try.
If no one is interested in joining me in this, I'll just keep my measurements in my journal, but I figured that since weekly measurement checks helped me lose the first 20 lbs, I'm going to start doing it again, and I'll throw it out on the board in case anyone else is into the idea. I find measurements to be better motivation than just weight check-ins because if you're building muscle in addition to burning fat, you might not see as much of a difference on the scale as you will in your measurements!
I'm going to check in on Thursdays.. if you want, you can check in whatever day/however often works for you :)

I have been here before, a long long time ago and now I am back.Forgive me for not just saying what I want to say, even under a triple dose of antidepressants it is still raw and seeping and I am hesitant at revealing it as at least under the bandages around my heart I don,t have to look at how raw and wounded. My child was cleaved from my heart by his own actions. my child of ten, turning eleven...

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
Now I'm changing my exercise routine to try to get "losing" again and I'm getting sore all over again, so I think it's important to start measuring again so that I don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't budge for a while!
Glad you're joining in! It definitely makes it easier to stick with something like this if you've got people expecting you to!
This week is Hips: 41, Waist: 31, Neck: 13.25, height: 68 inches, weight: 153
The calculator still has me at 31% body fat but at least I've lost 1lb for the week and I've decreased my measurements by a little bit.
