It is Nov. 12. Anyone want to try to lose a pound a week over the holidays? So far, I have eaten healthy and light for two days!!! This is actually good for me because I just had a baby and was really out of control during the pregnancy. I'm getting back to the gym a few times a week so I'm excited about getting back in shape. I still look five months pregnant so I have to do something about it NOW. Anyone else out there motivated to join me?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am doing WW too, so please stay in contact and share any tips. I may have to go back to the meetings if this accountability group does not work for me because I really need accountablity for results. With a new baby and all, I really do not want another place to go. Any time I have away from the baby, I want to spend at the gym. Everybody, want to weigh in next Tuesday and give our results? Should we share specific weights and goals or keep it private? I have about fourteen pounds I am trying to lose.

One of the things that I do is I eat a LOT of Lean Cuisines! Its awesome. I know exactly how many calories I'm eating and the portion sizes are perfect. I usually eat 4 of them a day. Then I add an apple here or a cup of yogurt there for snakes. That's another thing I do. It's important for me to eat about 200- 300 calories 4 or 5 times a day instead of 2 or even 3 big meals. That keeps the blood sugar regulated (I'm also diabetic) and it keeps the metabolism running a bit higher too.
The next thing I do is keep to what I call my "calorie budget". I set the budget between 1000 and 1500, and I try to hit right at 1200! But giving myself some wiggle room keeps me from getting too depressed if I have a little something extra one day. So far its worked pretty good.
The rest of the stuff I do is mental. I have a LOT of weight to lose and keeping a positive attitude is sometimes really hard, but I just have to remember that I'm aiming for health ultimately. Its important for me to be as healthy as I can in the body that I have NOW. It's not about "when I lose weight." Its about NOW! I say to myself everyday, "What can I do TODAY to make it a healthy day?" With that attitude losing weight is just a cool side effect of living healthy. :)
