Hey all - I've been so out of touch on here - and I see so many new faces now. First let me say that I hope you all are finding what you need here!!!
Personally, I am struggling. I was doing really, really well for a long time and then "life" happened and my motivation kicked the bucket - and now I'm stuck. I'm still under 180 and that makes me happy because I've been doing absolutely nothing to lose more weight. I am active, but haven't been exercising. I have been eating a lot of healthy food - but also a lot of crap food. So I'm at a standstill here and really need someone to push me over the edge.
I've been trying on my own to find my motivation again, and it's not working. I realize now just how much the support from everyone here means and how priceless it is.
I'm looking for some inspiration -

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

but I think it would be really useful for you,
imagine a picture of yourself at the weight you would like to be
then imagine yourself going about your day as this new happy healthy you, think about how you move and feel. see how easy it is to do the things that you couldn't do before
imagine yourself at an event where you are surrounded by friends and family, imagine their voices telling you how brilliant you look and how well you have done
whenever you get down, keep pictureing those images and remember that dieting is not just a pointless excersise that you have to do, you are doing it to achieve that image.
every time you make a healthy choice over a unhealthy one you are one step closer that picture you are creating in your mind!
